PERU, Lima, gold cob 2 escudos, 1705 H, NGC MS 64 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label), finest known in NGC census, ex-Almenara. S-L25a; Cal-1822; Fr-9; KM-36. 6.76 grams. Broad flan with some peripheral flatness and minor edge-split (which is unusual for this type), full pillars-and-waves and cross-lions-castles (both slightly off-center), clear king's name and ordinal, faintly toned. From the 1715 Fleet, with photo-certificate, pedigreed to the Almenara Collection (stated on label).
